The University of Toledo Judith Herb College of Arts, Social Sciences and Education (UToledo) offers undergraduate, graduate, educational specialist, endorsements, and certifications in a wide range of disciplines. (educator programs).
Note: Ohio does not have licensure reciprocity with any other states. A student in the Judith Herb College of Arts, Social Sciences and Education may apply for licensure in another state after receiving an Ohio license with UToledo recommendation for program completion.
UToledo cannot guarantee eligibility for licensure in other states. Please reference the State Departments of Education for requirements. Please also consult with the Program Director for more information.
Academic degrees and programs offered by the University of Toledo that lead to specific professional licensure or certification, whether delivered online or face-to-face, satisfy the academic requirements for those credentials set forth by the State of Ohio. Requirements for professional licensure or certification vary between the professions (multiple levels of teaching, administration) from state to state and may change. UToledo has not determined if licensure programs in education meet the requirements of other states and US territories. It is easier to get licensed in another state or territory with an existing license rather than just completing requirements; all students are highly encouraged to become fully licensed in Ohio and then transfer that license.
