Mike Donoughe

Mike DonougheMike Donoughe is the Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Engineering at Polaris Industries. He joined the company in January 2018 and is the global leader of all engineering and technology departments. Mike has extensive experience leading companies in all phases of execution – talent acquisition and cultural development, product and service innovation, design and development, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, technology commercialization, business strategy and development, and operational planning.

Prior to joining Polaris, Mike held increasingly responsible management positions at multinational companies doing business in varied sectors. After graduating from the University of Toledo in 1981 he joined U.S. Steel as a process engineer in Lorain, Ohio. He then spent 25 years at Chrysler, starting in 1983 and advancing to Engineering Vice President after performing various roles within product development and manufacturing. This included a 3-year assignment in Stuttgart, Germany at the Mercedes-Benz Car Group following the DaimlerChrysler merger.
In 2008, Mike transitioned to Tesla Motors and served as its Executive Vice President responsible for Vehicle Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Corporate Quality.

In 2010 he became CEO and Board Member of SinoEV Technologies (now Octillion Energy Holdings), a start-up Tier 1 supplier focusing on the design, development, manufacture, and supply of electric vehicle powertrain systems. Later in 2010, while retaining his SinoEV board position, he joined Bright Automotive as its Chief Operating Officer.

In 2012, Mike co-founded Third Shore Group, a firm focused on technology development & commercialization providing in the medical, energy, transportation and environmental sectors.

Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toledo, a Master of Mechanical Engineering degree from Wayne State University and a Masters of Business Administration from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
