STEPS TO SUCCESS

Meet with your academic advisor in advance of registration. Be sure to review your plan of study to lock in the best schedule to stay on track for graduation.

All students should review your financial aid status and ensure there are no holds on your account that would prevent you from registering. Make sure you’ve completed your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as well. Even if you don’t believe you qualify for federal financial aid, many scholarships require you to have a FAFSA on file.

Check your student account balance. Make sure that your student account balance is paid in full by the published deadline for each semester. This may mean paying your balance, accepting your financial aid or establishing a payment plan.

REGISTER

Register for classes via the myUT portal by selecting the “Register/Drop/Withdraw Courses” link in the My Registration Steps section of the Student Tab. The user-friendly registration tool will guide you through the class selection process and allows you to plan semesters in advance.

You can also run a degree audit, view your transcript or grades, apply to graduate or identify your academic advisor through the Student Tab in the myUT portal.

Additional details about registration dates, step-by-step registration guides and frequently asked registration questions are available from the Office of the Registrar.

Your Path to Graduation

Be sure to aim for completing 15 credit hours per semester to graduate on time.
