Dr. Hatkevich received her Associate of Applied Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from Lourdes College, her Bachelor of Science Degree from The University of Toledo, her Master of Occupational Therapy Degree from the Medical College of Ohio and her Doctor of Philosophy in 2008 in Teaching and Learning from Capella University. Her clinical experience includes adolescent, adult and geriatric rehabilitation in a variety of settings including in-patient rehabilitation, mental health and skilled nursing facilities, as well as community settings. Dr. Hatkevich has been a professor and chair of the occupational therapy assistant program at Owens Community College and most recently is a clinical associate professor and Director of Clinical and Educational Programming in the Occupational Therapy program at The University of Toledo. Her capstone interests include program development and modification in community based and traditional occupational therapy settings and course development.
