Brandon Wood received his bachelor’s degree from Northern Kentucky University (2013) and his master’s (2016) and doctoral (2019) degrees in school psychology from Indiana State University.
Dr. Wood’s research and professional interests include systems-level consultation and organizational change, universal student mental health screening, preventive mental health practices in educational settings, and school safety and security. His work emphasizes the development of sustainable, data-informed systems that support student well-being and strengthen collaboration among schools, families, behavioral health providers, and community partners.
Dr. Wood has worked with children, families, educators, and other professionals across hospital, school, clinical, residential, and university settings. He has both led and contributed to externally funded research and community-engaged initiatives and serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Educational and Psychological Consultation. His work has been recognized with The University of Toledo College of Health and Human Services Dean’s Award for Outstanding Research in 2022 and the Edith Rathbun Outreach and Engagement Excellence Award in 2026.
