Master of Science in Nursing (M.S.N.) Program
The Master of Science in Nursing at The University of Toledo, School of Nursing is designed to build on the student’s past learning, personal and professional goals, and the insights and experiences gained through practice. The M.S.N. degree prepares Registered Nurses with B.S.N. degrees as Advanced Practice Nurses.

Family Nurse Practitioner

- Designed to prepare nurses for the FNP role in primary nursing care.
- FNP graduates are eligible to sit for the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP) certification corresponding to their population foci upon graduation.
- 50 semester credits

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

- Designed to prepare advanced practice nurses to care for families in a wide variety of community and hospital-based psychiatric settings.
- PMHNP graduates are eligible to sit for the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification corresponding to their population foci upon graduation.
