Health and Safety

Hearing Safety

As students and musicians at the University of Toledo, we encourage you to familiarize yourself with safe practices and awareness regarding your hearing health.  Our practice and rehearsal spaces in the Center for Performing Arts are accoustically treated for your safety, yet the potential for hearing damage is an ever-present concern.  Links below provide you with information that will increase your awareness of best practices as you protect your hearing health.

General Physical and Mental Health

The University Health Center on UToledo’s Main Campus offers convenient, affordable healthcare for UToledo students. The center houses the University Health Center, the Counseling Center and the Main Campus Pharmacy. Located near the Campus View Apartments and Rocket Hall, the University Health Center allows students to get easy access to medical care without leaving campus. Students can get to the Health Center via campus bus.

Title IX

The University encourages the reporting of sex discrimination, sexual harassment (including actual or attempted sexual assault; domestic violence; dating violence; and stalking), or retaliation that may occur in its programs or activities, to ensure that the University has an opportunity to address prohibited conduct. Reports may be made by completing a complaint form or by contacting the Title IX Coordinator, Michelle McDevitt. University employees are mandated reporters (refer to Title IX Policy for exceptions) for Title IX. As a university employee, if an incident is reported to you, you are required to share the information you have with the Title IX Office. This enables the Title IX Office to follow up with the parties involved to ensure all rights are protected by Title IX.
