Department of Political Science and Public Administration
The Department of Political Science and Public Administration offers many exciting opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students. Our eight full-time faculty have interests ranging from American political institutions to Latin American politics, international relations, public policy and law and society.
We have nearly 140 undergraduate majors and graduate students in our programs. Undergraduate political science majors can choose to specialize in legal studies and we offer a minor in political science as well. We offer three graduate certificate programs, in management of non-profit organizations, municipal administration, and health care policy and administration. Our faculty are active in professional research and community service activities.
Many of our students pursue internships with state and local government officials, the state legislature, or with the Washington Center in Washington, DC. Our alumni include state legislators, county and city administrators, and directors of a number of nonprofit agencies.
