Dr. Ahmed Suparno Bahar Moni is an orthopedic surgeon and academic physician with over 15 years of experience in orthopedics and traumatology. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Medical Education at the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences.

Dr. Bahar Moni has specialized training in upper limb, hand, and microsurgery, having completed multiple fellowships at internationally recognized institutions across Asia. His expertise includes the management of complex hand injuries, deformities, and peripheral nerve conditions, including trauma and tumor-related pathologies.

Research Focus

Dr. Bahar Moni is actively involved in clinical and translational research with a focus on: Chronic upper limb disorders, Osteoarthritis, Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapies, Stem cell–based regenerative treatments, minimally invasive and biologic approaches to musculoskeletal care.

Academic Leadership

As an associate Clerkship Director in Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Bahar Moni is engaged in: Medical student and resident education, Clinical skills and simulation training, Curriculum development and assessment etc. He is dedicated to mentoring future physicians and improving musculoskeletal education.

His goal is to advance orthopedic science through research and education, while contributing to improved patient care and outcomes in musculoskeletal disorders.
