Elective Description/Requirements: Students meet daily; three clinical cases are presented by students; all students participate in discussion of cases as well as related learning issues.
Length of Clerkship: 2 weeks

- Apply the principles of basic sciences to the etiology, pathophysiology, diagnostic testing, prevention, and treatment of human diseases. (EPOs: MK-4)
- Apply biomedical knowledge to clinical problems and interpret laboratory data imaging studies and other diagnostic test and procedures to deliver safe and efficient clinical care (EPOs: PC-6)
- Prepare and deliver a focused presentation of a clinical case (EPOs: IPC-2, SBP-5)
- Discuss the pre analytic variables that affect lab results (EPOs: MK-1, PC-6)
- Explain the current and future role of Molecular diagnostic testing (EPOs: MK-7)
