UToledo's graduate certificate tracks are ideal for nurses who have a current master's or doctor of nursing practice degree and want to expand their practice with an education from the leader in advanced practice nursing in northwest Ohio.
Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Graduate Certificate
Our Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Graduate Certificate is offered to individuals who have completed a master’s degree in nursing or doctorate in nursing practice, with a minimum one year of full time, current work experience in acute care and/or critical care, who desire to obtain specialized knowledge to seek certification as an AG ACNP.
- AG ACNP graduates are eligible to sit for the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification or American Association of Critical Care Nursing (AACN) certification.
- Three-semester, part-time option

Family Nurse Practitioner Graduate Certificate
The Family Nurse Practitioner Graduate Certificate is offered to individuals who have completed a master's degree in nursing or doctorate in nursing practice, and who desire to obtain specialized knowledge to seek certification as an FNP.
- FNP graduates are eligible to sit for the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP) certification corresponding to their population foci upon graduation.
- Three-semester, part-time option

Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Graduate Certificate
The Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Graduate Certificate is offered to individuals who have completed a master's degree in nursing or doctorate in nursing practice, and who desire to obtain specialized knowledge to seek certification as a PPCNP.
- PPCNP graduates are eligible to sit for Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) certification upon graduation.
- Three-semester, part-time option; clinical sequence offered every other year

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Graduate Certificate
The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Graduate Certificate is offered to individuals who have completed a master’s degree in nursing or doctorate in nursing practice and who desire to obtain specialized knowledge to seek certification as a PMHNP.
- PMHNP graduates are eligible to sit for the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification corresponding to their population foci upon graduation.

*Pediatric Nurse Practitioner students will be required to complete pediatric pathophysiology, pediatric assessment,
and pediatric pharmacology before beginning their clinicals
