Diane M. Miller, J.D. Chief of Staff/Vice President for Government Relations

Diane M. Miller, J.D. is the Chief of Staff/Vice President for Government Relations at the University of Toledo. She is the primary university contact for Members of Congress, their staff and the Administration and is responsible for formulating the university’s position as it relates to federal opportunities and policy. Miller also acts as the primary point of contact for university visits by elected and appointed government officials.  

She is responsible for advancing the University’s federal research portfolio, aligning university researcher strength to federal funding opportunities, highlighting activities surrounding renewable energy and the environment, including international outreach, and several special projects.   In her previous position with the university, she served as the Associate Director of the business incubation program where she directed a number of federal projects to enhance incubation infrastructure and services at the University.

Before coming to UT in 2007, Miller served as staff to U.S. Senator Mike DeWine for five years; she was District Representative for NW Ohio.  Miller was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 2008 and is a Certified Incubation Management Professional by the National Business Incubator Association, 2009. Miller received her J.D. from the University of Toledo College of Law (2008) and a B.A. in History and Political Science from Grove City College, PA (2001).
