Operations & Supply Chain Management

Learn More

Every family needs someone who manages the household and keep things running smoothly. Someone to buy food, budget, assign chores, put out fires and ensure everyone gets where they need to be. In business, that person is called the operations and supply chain manager. Operations managers oversee a business' entire operation and help it run more smoothly. They manage people and resources. The University of Toledo has a top-ranked program in operations and supply chain management and is one of the few U.S. universities to offer the major.

The UToledo operations & supply chain management program is designed for students who are interested in revitalizing and enhancing the competitiveness of America's industrial base or who want to pursue careers in the rapidly expanding service sector. Students acquire the knowledge and skills to manage people and resources. They are given an overview of operations from product design, process selection, total quality management (TQM), production planning and scheduling, sourcing, industrial marketing, logistics, transportation, quality and information systems, as well as emerging practices in supply chain management and e-commerce.
