The University of Toledo has been partners with University of Salford since 1987. The partnership with University of Salford has been successful in helping both institutions to continue academic and cultural exchange between them through mutual assistance in areas of education and research.

  • University of Salford is located in the city of Manchester in the United Kingdom.
  • University of Salford consists of 25,000 students and 2,300 staff members.
  • Major collaboration consists of the exchange of students and mutual assistance in research and education.

YANSHAN UNIVERSITY (1992)

The University of Toledo has been partners with Yanshan University (YSU) since 1992. Yanshan and UToledo have had a successful partnership spanning university wide colleges and have participated in different exchange programs.

  • YSU is located in China, in the city of Qinhuangdao, which is Toledo’s sister city.
  • Yanshan University has a student population of 38,000 and 3,200 staff.
  • The major collaboration with UToledo is an exchange program.

UNIVERSITY OF HERTFORDSHIRE (1993)

University of Hertfordshire has been a long-time partner with The University of Toledo since 1993. The partnership has lasted for almost 30 years and is still going strong.

  • Hertfordshire has two campuses north of London:  College Lane and de Havilland.
  • University of Hertfordshire has over 30,000 students, with more than 10,000 international students from140 countries.
  • The major collaboration with the University of Toledo is based on student exchange program.
  • The university has 9 schools: Business; Creative Arts; Education; Health and Social Work; Humanities; Law; Life and Medical Sciences; Physics, Engineering and Computer Science; and Higher Education Consortium.

SICHUAN UNIVERSITY (2003)

The University of Toledo and Sichuan University have been partners since 2003. The partnership was between the College of Medicine and Life Sciences here at UToledo and West China School of Medicine at Sichuan University. This relationship has developed several joint research findings and different exchange program opportunities for participants.

  • Sichuan University is located in China in the city of Chengdu.
  • Sichuan University has over 57,000 students.
  • Major collaborations with The University of Toledo are joint research and exchange programs with the College of Medicine and Life Sciences.

AICHI UNIVERSITY (2007)

Aichi University and The University of Toledo have been partners since 2007. The partnership started with Center for International Studies and Programs. The strong relationship between Aichi University and The University of Toledo has promoted different exchange programs for students and faculty members. Different cultural interchanges have been created during this collaboration and opened opportunities for exchange faculty and students to experience a different learning experience.

  • Aichi University is a private university with three campuses in Japan: Toyohashi, Nagoya, and Kurumamichi.
  • Aichi University has approximately 10,000 students.

Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics (ZUFE) and The University of Toledo have been partners since 2008. The partnership started with the College of Business and Innovation, focusing on creating a professional sales and marketing management joint degree program.

  • ZUFE is located in Hangzhou, China.
  • Covering an area of about 379 acres and student population of 16,800, the university consists of 4 campuses.
  • Major collaboration with the University of Toledo was conducted by the College of Business and Innovation in creating a joint degree program with sales and marketing department.

JORDAN HOSPITAL GROUP (2009)

The Jordan Hospital Group and The University of Toledo partnership has lasted for more than 10 years. The partnership focuses on clinical education. The University of Toledo College of Medicine & Life Sciences has been hosting exchange participants from Jordan Hospital Group to research clinical education at The University of Toledo Medical Campus.  

  • The Jordan Hospital Group is located in Amman, Jordan.

VIDYALANKAR SCHOOL OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (2012)

Vidyalankar School of Information Technology (VSIT) and The University of Toledo have been partners since 2012. The collaboration is with the College of Business and Innovation and College of Engineering. The purpose of this partnership created a joint degree program opportunity for VSIT students to enroll in and complete courses in the undergraduate programs at The University of Toledo.

  • Vidyalankar School of Information Technology was founded in 2002 in Mumbai, India.
  • VSIT has about 1,000 students.
  • Major collaboration with The University of Toledo was conducting a joint degree program.

American University of Beirut (AUB) and The University of Toledo have been partners since 2012. The partnership between AUB and UToledo is through an exchange program for students and faculty. The agreement also enables the practice of several joint research programs.

  • AUB has over 8,000 students from 90 countries.

Rikkyo University and The University of Toledo have been partners since 2015. The partnership between Rikkyo University and the University of Toledo is based on exchange programs for students to get the opportunity to study abroad. The agreement enables students to experience different cultures and learning experiences of the host faculty.

  • Rikkyo University is located in Tokyo, Japan.
  • Rikkyo is a teaching-centered research university with around 642 full-time faculty and a student population of around 20,000 students.
