BRITTANIE KUHR JOINS TOLEDO LAW DEVELOPMENT TEAM

Brittanie Kuhr

Brittanie Kuhr joined the UT Foundation in May as assistant director of development for the College of Law. Kuhr joins us with nearly ten years of higher education experience and has served in various fundraising roles at other four-year institutions in the region including Defiance College, Lourdes University, and Adrian College. In a brief step away from higher education, she served as the vice president of philanthropy at the Toledo Zoo and Aquarium.  

Known to be an active member of her campus communities, Kuhr has served on various institutional committees, including the HLC reaffirmation committee, Title III committee, and scholarship committee at Defiance College, the President’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion committee, a Title IX investigator, and the ACE Women’s Network of Ohio Regional Coordinator at Lourdes University. 

Kuhr has served on various local and regional boards. She is currently serving as chair on the Board of Directors for Girls on the Run of Northwest Ohio, The Croswell Opera House Board of Directors, West Side Montessori Board of Trustees, and the Notre Dame Academy President’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee.  

Kuhr is married to Allison. Together, they have three children ages four and under: Elizabeth, Emmett, and Caroline. The family enjoys spending time in northern Michigan, exploring Toledo’s metroparks and libraries, and participating in and supporting musical theatre productions, especially those at the Croswell in Adrian, Michigan.  

Kuhr earned her B.A. in secondary education and social studies from Adrian College and her M.Ed. in Higher Education from UToledo. She also holds an Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Management through Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government. Kuhr is working toward her Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from UToledo. Her dissertation research is focused on the public value of four-year colleges and universities.
