VIRGINIA SPEIGHT, Director of Residence Life
Virginia Speight brings to the table years of experience in residence life and management. She was an Assistant Director for the Office of Residence Life and Housing for Norfolk State University in Norfolk, Va., for three years before coming to The University of Toledo. She also held Residence Life and Housing positions at Old Dominion University, Ambling Management Co. and Hampton University. Speight plans to collaborate with key offices that focus on student services to improve overall living for students on campus. She also serves as a member of the Vice President's Senior Leadership and Crisis Intervention Response team, and provides representation and direction on various University initiatives. "I am extremely excited and honored to serve as the Interim Director of Residence Life at UT," Speight said. "My goal is to continue to work with staff and students in creating residence halls that promote learning outside of the classroom and enhance the student experience. Students are the reason we exist, and providing exemplary customer service is our goal."
MARCUS DAWSON, Associate Director for Residence Life
Marcus Dawson currently serves as the Associate Director for the Office of Residence Life at the University of Toledo (UT). Marcus earned his bachelor's degree from UT in 2001 and his Master in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Northern Colorado in 2004. As an undergraduate student, Marcus was a Resident Adviser for 3 years and marched in the percussion section with the Rocket Marching Band. Marcus is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated and the American College Personnel Association. In 2013, Marcus won the President's Award which was given to him by UT's Association of Black Faculty and Staff.
MARK BROOKS, Assistant Director for Building Services
Mark Brooks currently serves at the Assistant Director of Building Services for Residence Life. His overall responsibilities are for the operations of the building services within the residential communities, ensuring the effectiveness of Quality Control and Inspection program to include quality processes, practices and systems are in compliance with University policies and procedures. Mark received his bachelor's degree from Eastern Michigan University. Before coming to the University of Toledo he worked as the General Manager of the Breakers Express hotel at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio.
ERIN THOMAS, Assistant Director for Residential Marketing and Communication
ADAM BOHLAND, Interim Housing Manager
Adam Bohland currently serves as the Interim Housing Manager at the University of Toledo. Adam provides support to the Residence Life team in Housing matters related to student bookings, guest housing, student accounts, and many other operational needs. He earned his bachelor's degree from Tiffin University in Business Administration with a concentration in Hospitality and Tourism. He received his Master in Higher Education from University of Toledo in May 2014. Before joining the team at UT, Adam worked in food service management at Bowling Green State University.

AMANDA FREYALDENHOVEN, Carter Hall Director and Health Professions Living Learning
Amanda Freyaldenhoven serves as the Carter Hall and Health Professions Living Learning Community Director. Amanda advises UT's Dance Marathon, RockeTHON. She has been with the University of Toledo since 2011. Amanda earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology, from Wright State University, and her Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling, from Bowling Green State University. She is currently taking doctoral classes in Counselor Education and Supervision.
BRIAN BUTLER, Carter Hall Graduate Assistant Hall Director
Brian Butler currently serves as the Graduate Assistant Hall Director for Carter Hall. He recently earned his bachelor’s degree in sales management, international business, and leadership advancement at The University of Akron. Throughout his undergraduate career, Brian served as a Resident Assistant, Desk Manager, and Hall Director for Residence Life and as the Director of Professional Development for Pi Sigma Epsilon – Gamma Kappa Chapter. Brian is now working towards his Master in Business Administration with hopes of applying the degree towards a career in higher education.
KIRSTIN KELLER, International House Graduate Assistant Hall Director
Kirstin Keller currently serves as the Graduate Assistant Hall Director for International House. Kirstin graduated from the University of Toledo in 2013 with her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. She is currently pursuing a Master in Public Health through the Northwest Ohio Consortium for Public Health, a joint program between the University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University. During her undergraduate years, Kirstin served as a Resident Adviser at UT for two years and also performed as the school’s female mascot: Rocksy the Rockette.
MELISSA MICK, MacKinnon, Scott and Tucker Halls Hall Director
Melissa Mick serves as the Hall Director for MacKinnon, Scott, and Tucker Halls. She earned a bachelor's degree in Linguistics from The Ohio State University in 2009 and was a member of the Mount Leadership Society, a Scholars Living Learning Community with a focus on community service. Following her graduation she taught Spanish and ESL in South Florida for three years before returning to Ohio for graduate school. She earned a M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from Kent State University in 2014 while working as an Assistant Hall Director at Cleveland State University. Melissa is proud to call Ohio home and is excited to work closely with the Honors LLC at UT!
BRANDON HINES, MacKinnon, Scott and Tucker Halls Graduate Assistant Hall Director
Brandon M. Hines is currently the Graduate Assistant Hall Director for Mackinnon, Scott and Tucker Halls for the University of Toledo. Brandon earned his bachelor’s degree at Bowling Green State University in Education with a focus on Life and Earth Sciences. After graduation, Brandon worked as a Middle School Science teacher and an intervention tutor. He is currently working on completing his Master in Higher Education. Brandon enjoys working with college students and wants to promote a positive and encouraging atmosphere for his residents.
BRITTANY GRAHAM, McComas Village Hall Director
Brittany Graham currently serves as the Hall Director for McComas Village at The University of Toledo. Brittany earned her bachelor's degree from Eastern Michigan University in French, Tourism and Event Planning, and Marketing and a Master in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Indiana University. Before coming to UT, Brittany worked for various departments, Study Abroad, Greek Life, Adult Learning, and Residence Life.
KATELYN ZIMMERMAN, McComas Village Graduate Assistant Hall Director
Katelyn Zimmerman serves as the Graduate Assistant Hall Director for McComas Village.
Katelyn earned her bachelor's degree in International Relations & Diplomacy from The
Ohio State University. She is currently in the License and Master's Program (LAMP)
for Spanish education at The University of Toledo. Katelyn is an alumna of Kappa Delta
Sorority and she is excited to serve the greek community here at UT.
BRIAN ROLINC, Ottawa House Hall Director
Brian Rolinc currently serves as the Hall Director for Ottawa House. Brian graduated from Ohio University, where he was a resident assistant, with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies and a minor in history. He received his Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from Kent State University. Prior to becoming a Hall Director at The University of Toledo, Brian worked as a Hall Director at Baldwin Wallace University.
TERA MCDONALD, Ottawa House Graduate Assistant Hall Director
Tera McDonald is a proud University of Toledo alum earning her bachelor's degree from UT in Individualized Studies in 2013. Tera is a currently working on completing her Master in Higher Education. During her undergraduate years, Tera served as the Vice President for the Black Student Union, a member of the Student Advisory Board, a member of the Student Conduct Hearing Board and acted as a Student Orientation Leader.
LAUREN MISSIK, Parks Tower Hall Director
Lauren Missik is currently the Parks Tower Hall Director in the Office of Residence Life for The University of Toledo. Lauren is a graduate of the University of Akron, receiving her Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration, with Bachelor Degrees in Business and Organizational Communication, and Interpersonal and Public Communication.
BRITTANY SEIGNEUR-HARRIS, Parks Tower Graduate Assistant Hall Director
Brittany Seigneur-Harris serves as the Graduate Assistant Hall Director for Parks Tower at The University of Toledo. Brittany earned her bachelor's degree from The University of Toledo in Bioengineering in 2013. She is currently working towards her Master in Counselor Education. Brittany enjoys working with residents and encouraging everyone to get involved with student organizations and UT traditions!
LISA PERSICO, Presidents Hall Director
Lisa Persico earned her bachelor's degree from The University of Toledo in Public Health in 2012 and her Master of Public Health in Health Education and Promotion through The Northwest Ohio Consortium for Public Health in 2014. This is her third year with the Office of Residence Life at The University of Toledo.
COLLEEN FLANIGAN, Presidents Hall Graduate Assistant Director
Colleen Flanigan currently serves as the Graduate Assistant Hall Director for Presidents
Hall. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Public Health here at The University of
Toledo. During her undergraduate career, Colleen served as a Resident Adviser for
two years and was heavily involved in several organizations across campus. Colleen
is now working towards her Master Degree in Higher Education
