VIRGINIA SPEIGHT, Director of Residence Life
Virginia Speight brings to the table years of experience in residence life and management. She was an Assistant Director for the Office of Residence Life and Housing for Norfolk State University in Norfolk, Va., for three years before coming to The University of Toledo. She also held Residence Life and Housing positions at Old Dominion University, Ambling Management Co. and Hampton University. Speight plans to collaborate with key offices that focus on student services to improve overall living for students on campus. She also serves as a member of the Vice President’s Senior Leadership and Crisis Intervention Response team, and provides representation and direction on various University initiatives. “I am extremely excited and honored to serve as the Interim Director of Residence Life at UT,” Speight said. “My goal is to continue to work with staff and students in creating residence halls that promote learning outside of the classroom and enhance the student experience. Students are the reason we exist, and providing exemplary customer service is our goal.”
MARCUS DAWSON, Associate Director for Residence Life
Marcus Dawson currently serves as the Associate Director for the Office of Residence Life at the University of Toledo (UT). Marcus earned his bachelor's degree from UT in 2001 and his Master in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Northern Colorado in 2004. As an undergraduate student, Marcus was a Resident Adviser for 3 years and marched in the percussion section with the Rocket Marching Band. Marcus is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated and the American College Personnel Association. In 2013, Marcus won the President’s Award which was given to him by UT’s Association of Black Faculty and Staff.
MARK BROOKS, Assistant Director for Building Services
Mark Brooks currently serves at the Assistant Director of Building Services for Residence Life. His overall responsibilities are for the operations of the building services within the residential communities, ensuring the effectiveness of Quality Control and Inspection program to include quality processes, practices and systems are in compliance with University policies and procedures. Mark received his bachelor's degree from Eastern Michigan University. Before coming to the University of Toledo he worked as the General Manager of the Breakers Express hotel at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio.
ERIN THOMAS, Project Manager
Erin Thomas currently serves as Project Manager for the Office of Residence Life.
Her primary responsibility is customer service, community relations, marketing, communications
and strategic brand management for both current and prospective residents. In addition,
she serves as a liaison to the Alumni, Admission, Orientation, Marketing and Sustainability,
Energy, Efficiency and Design (SEED) offices as well as areas within the Division
of Student Affairs and local community organizations. Erin received her bachelor's degree from Northwestern University and her Master of Business Administration from the University of Notre
Dame. She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and The Links, Incorporated.
Prior to working at UT, Erin worked as a Program Development Manager for M.O.R.E.
Mentoring and as an Analyst for Owens-Illinois, Incorporated. In 2013, she received the Dr. Robert J. Schlembach Award from the University
of Toledo Division of Enrollment Management and Online Education.
ADAM BOHLAND, Interim Housing Manager
Adam Bohland currently serves as the Interim Housing Manager at the University of Toledo. Adam provides support to the Residence Life team in Housing matters related to student bookings, guest housing, student accounts, and many other operational needs. He earned his bachelor's degree from Tiffin University in Business Administration with a concentration in Hospitality and Tourism. He is currently working on his Master in Higher Education with an expected graduation date of May 2014. Before joining the team at UT, Adam worked in food service management at Bowling Green State University.
MATTHEW PERRY, Interim Area Coordinator
Matthew Perry currently serves as the Interim Area Coordinator for Suite-style Halls. In his role, Matt provides guidance and leadership to suite-style residence halls. Matt believes that each Rocket across campus should feel accepted, engaged and involved with campus life. Outside of his main role and duties, Matt enjoys advising the National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) student organization, participating in sexual assault and anti-bullying initiatives, and serving as a UT Culture Ambassador. Matt received his M.S.E. from The University of Dayton and B.A. from Wilmington College.
ANDREW SADOUSKAS, Interim Area Coordinator
Dr. Andrew Sadouskas currently serves as the Interim Area Coordinator for Traditional Halls at The University of Toledo. He provides leadership for the following halls: Academic House, MacKinnon Hall, Parks Tower, and Carter Hall. Dr. Andrew Sadouskas earned his bachelor's degree from Ohio Dominican University in Communications in 2003, Master in Education in College Student Personnel from Ohio University in 2005, and Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Bowling Green State University (BGSU) in 2011. Before coming to UT, he worked in residence life at Wittenberg University and BGSU as well as with the general education program at BGSU.
LAUREN MISSIK, Hall Director for Academic House and MacKinnon Hall
Lauren Missik is currently the Hall Director in the Office of Residence Life for The University of Toledo's Academic House and MacKinnon Hall. She works with the Honors College, the Engineering Department and Environmental Sustainability staff members to ensure that those Specialized Living Communities have strong ties with their academic program and/or area of interest. Lauren is a graduate of the University of Akron, receiving her Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration, with Bachelor Degrees in Business and Organizational Communication, and Interpersonal and Public Communication.
CLAIRE HOOVER, Graduate Assistant Hall Director for MacKinnon Hall
Claire Hoover currently serves as the Graduate Assistant Hall Director for MacKinnon Hall at The University of Toledo. She earned her bachelor's degree from Bowling Green State University in Psychology in 2006, and Master in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University in 2010. Claire is currently working on completing her Master in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Toledo. Before coming to UT, she worked in the Office of Student Development as an Academic Advisor at Owens Community College.
AMANDA FREYALDENHOVEN, Hall Director for Carter Hall and Health Professions Living
Learning Community Director
Amanda Freyaldenhoven serves as the Hall Director for Carter Hall, as well as the Health Professions Living Learning Community Director. Amanda advises the Resident Student Association and UT’s Dance Marathon, RockeTHON. She has been with the University of Toledo since 2011. Amanda earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology, from Wright State University, and her Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling, from Bowling Green State University. She is currently taking doctoral classes in Counselor Education and Supervision.
TERA MCDONALD, Graduate Assistant Hall Director for Carter Hall
Tera McDonald currently serves as the Graduate Assistant Hall Director for Carter Hall. She is a proud University of Toledo alum earning her bachelor's degree from UT in Individualized Studies in 2013. Tera is a currently working on completing her Master in Higher Education. During her undergraduate years, Tera served as the Vice President for the Black Student Union, a member of the Student Advisory Board, a member of the Student Conduct Hearing Board and acted as a Student Orientation Leader.
LATRECE SENECA, Hall Director for International House
Latrece Seneca is currently in her fourth year as the hall director at International House. For three years, she was a resident advisor at the University of Buffalo where she received a B.A. in Psychology. At Buffalo State College, she served as a Resident Director for two years graduating with a M.S in College Student Personnel before coming to the University of Toledo. Latrece plans to build a career that impacts the lives of college students and eventually become a Vice President of Student Affairs.
KIRSTIN KELLER, Graduate Hall Director for Ottawa West
Kirstin Keller currently serves as the Graduate Hall Director for Ottawa West. Kirstin graduated from the University of Toledo in 2013 with her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. She is currently pursuing a Master in Public Health through the Northwest Ohio Consortium for Public Health, a joint program between the University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University. During her undergraduate years, Kirstin served as a Resident Adviser at UT for two years and also performed as the school’s female mascot: Rocksy the Rockette.
ARIELLE WEAVER, Graduate Hall Director for Ottawa East
Arielle Weaver currently serves as the Graduate Hall Director for Ottawa East at the University of Toledo. Arielle is currently working on her Master in Education in Higher Education and Master in Business Administration. She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Toledo in Organizational Leadership and Human Resource management in 2012. After the completion of her degrees in May of 2014, Arielle will continue to work in the Student Affairs area of Higher Education.
LISA PERSICO, Graduate Hall Director for Parks Tower
Lisa Persico currently serves as the Graduate Hall Director for Parks Tower at The University of Toledo. Lisa Persico earned her bachelor's degree from The University of Toledo in Public Health in 2012, and is currently working towards a Master of Public Health in Health Education and Promotion through The Northwest Ohio Consortium for Public Health. This is her second year with the Office of Residence Life at The University of Toledo.
QUINTIN VEASLEY, Graduate Hall Director for Parks Tower
Quintin Veasley currently serves as the Graduate Hall Director for Parks Tower at The University of Toledo (UT). His duties include supervising, conduct, advising and other administrative duties at Parks Tower. Quintin earned his bachelor's degree from Bradley University in Criminal Justice/Sociology in 2009. Currently, He is obtaining his Master in Education in Higher Education Administration from The University of Toledo with an expected graduation date of May 2014. Before coming to UT, Quintin worked as a Mental Health Specialist II for at-risk youth.
BRITTANY SEIGNEUR-HARRIS, Graduate Hall Director for Presidents Hall
Brittany Seigneur-Harris serves as the Graduate Hall Director for Presidents Hall at The University of Toledo. Brittany earned her bachelor's degree from The University of Toledo in Bioengineering in 2013. She is currently working towards her Master in Counselor Education. Brittany enjoys working with residents and encouraging everyone to get involved with student organizations and UT traditions!
ASHLEY WANG, Graduate Hall Director for Presidents Hall
Ashley Wang currently serves as the Graduate Hall Director for Presidents Hall. Ashley
earned her BS in Exercise Science at the University of Toledo and is currently getting
her Master in Public Health- Epidemiology and hopes to go to PA school. During her
undergraduate career, Ashley played 4 years for the Toledo Women's Lacrosse team where
she served as President and Co-Captain. Ashley was also a member of Alpha Omicron
Pi at UT. She is very involved in the Toledo community and enjoys being active.
BRITTANY GRAHAM, Hall Director for McComas Village
Brittany Graham currently serves as the Hall Director for McComas Village at The University of Toledo. Brittany earned her bachelor's degree from Eastern Michigan University in French, Tourism and Event Planning, and Marketing and a Master in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Indiana University. Before coming to UT, Brittany worked for various departments, Study Abroad, Greek Life, Adult Learning, and Residence Life.
ASHLEY LEONARD, Counselor-in-Residence
Ashley currently serves as the Counselor-in-Residence, a liaison position, for the Office of Residence Life and University Counseling Center. This position provides mental health support for the Office of Residence Life through mental health and wellness programming, crisis intervention, and mental health consultation for the growing mental health needs on the campus. Additionally, Ashley is a counselor in the University Counseling Center. Ashley earned her master’s degree from the University of Toledo in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (2012) and is currently pursuing her Doctoral degree in Counselor Education. Ashley is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Ashley has worked in residence life for eight years. Prior to the University of Toledo, Ashley worked in residence life at Robert Morris University while pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology.
