    Summer Conferences

    Summer Conference Housing

    A great option for conferences of all ages and sizes, our University Residence Halls can house up to 4,000 people. Conference Housing is available in Ottawa House, The Crossings and the Horton International House (each building is open depending upon demand).  Linen service is an option for any of the rooms.  Building preferences may be requested, though final placements depend upon a building being open and available.

    Rates:

    • Double room - $18.00/person/night
    • Single room - $25.00/person/night
    • Linen Charge - $5.00/person/night (guests receive a linen packet at check-in which includes: sheets, blankets, pillow case, washcloth, towel, blankets)

    Meeting Rooms

    A variety of meeting rooms are available in all buildings and can be reserved through the registration process. Larger multipurpose rooms are available in the International House, Ottawa House, and The Crossings, though there is a cost associated with using these spaces. Additionally, there are several spaces available for rental throughout campus. If you are interested in reserving space in the Student Union, Student Recreation Center or any academic building, please let our office know during the registration process and we will secure the facilities for you.


    Parking

    Conference guests who want to park their car on campus need a parking permit from the Campus Community Support Services Office. All guests, especially those on campus Monday-Friday, should have a permit to avoid receiving a ticket. If you wish to park on campus during your conference, please notify us during the registration process.


    University Facilities

    Carlson Library
    The library is located south of the Student Union and is open Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m. - 10 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday, noon- 5 p.m.

    Bookstore
    The bookstore is located in the Student Union and offers clothing, souvenires, magazines, cards and camera needs. The bookstore is open 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. during the week and on select Saturdays. You can reach them at 419.530.2516.

    Dining Venues
    There are several dining venues operating on campus with varied hours during summer. In addition to the dining facilities in the residence halls, the Student Union features several counter service eateries including Subway, KFC, Magic Wok, Starbucks and Croutons Salad Bar. If you are interested in food service while on campus, please notify us during the registration process.
