First Steps as a New Rocket
Congrats on your admission to The University of Toledo!
It’s time to take your next steps to becoming a Rocket. Here’s what to do to prepare for your first semester at UToledo.

Set Up Your myUT Account
Your myUT account will be used throughout your time at UToledo. This is where you
will register for classes, pay your enrollment and housing deposits, and access your
UToledo email. To activate your myUT account, you will need your Rocket ID. You were provided a Rocket ID Number in the Next Steps
email you received after you submitted your intent to enroll.

Begin checking your Rocket email
All new students should begin checking their Rocket email account regularly for official
University correspondence. Your Rocket email can be found in your myUT Portal on the Student tab.

Complete Required Orientation
All graduate students must complete orientation and training. Your degree program also may require its own orientation.

Meet With Your Program Advisor and Register for Classes
Your advisor is your best resource for making sure you register for the right courses.
They can help you develop your plan of study and answer program-specific questions.
Your advisor is listed in the myUT Portal under Student → My Toolkit → Student Profile

The remainder of your next steps (like purchasing a parking pass, paying your bill, etc.) can be found on the New Student Tab of your myUT Portal.
