SMS Messaging Terms and Conditions
Program Description
The University of Toledo ("UToledo") operates an SMS messaging program to communicate with prospective and admitted students regarding their enrollment process, application status, financial aid, scholarship deadlines, and campus visit opportunities. Messages are sent by UToledo admissions counselors on a 1:1 basis.
How to Opt in
You may receive SMS messages from UToledo if you have provided your mobile phone number and selected "Yes" to receive text messages via UToledo's online inquiry form. Consent to receive SMS messages is not required as a condition of applying to or enrolling at UToledo.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies. You may receive up to several messages per month from a UToledo admissions counselor based on your enrollment stage and activity.
Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details about your plan.
How to Opt Out
You may opt out of UToledo SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive. After opting out, you will receive a single confirmation message and no further messages will be sent. To resubscribe, reply START.

Data Privacy
UToledo will not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in data with third parties except as provided in the University's public records policy (https://www.utoledo.edu/policies/administration/legalaffairs/). Your information is used solely to communicate with you about your enrollment at UToledo and is handled in accordance with our Web Privacy Statement (https://www.utoledo.edu/it/gdpr/WebPrivacy.html).
Supported Carriers
UToledo's SMS program is available on all major U.S. mobile carriers. Carrier support is not guaranteed for all carriers.
