Community Impact Fellowship
The Community Impact Fellowship is an 10-week summer fellowship program for UToledo
undergraduate students of all gender identities and gender expressions.
The Community Impact Fellowship integrates intersectional feminist theories and student affairs best practices to further develop students' leadership and deepen their connection to the University of Toledo and the Greater Toledo community. From May 27 - August 1, Fellows will complete 200 hours total: 16 hours per week applying leadership skills at a nonprofit agency and 4 hours per week with the Eberly Center staff and cohort. Fellows earn $12/hour for all hours logged with fellowship site and the Eberly Center.
2025 CIFF fellowship sites include Abortion Access Front, Bethany House, Division of Gender Equity at the City of Toledo, Equality Toledo, Greater Toledo Community Foundation, Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilities, and Women of Toledo. Student Learning Outcomes
Community Impact Fellows participate in weekly curricular seminars and co-curricular activities to complement the pragmatic exposure to gender equity advocacy with their nonprofit agencies. The integrated experience provides the opportunity for students to:
- Apply intersectional feminist theories in their practical fellowship experience.
- Articulate their own self-efficacy and leadership abilities around gender equity advocacy.
- Formulate relationships with role models in nonprofit leadership positions to build their professional network.
