How soon after receiving my scheduling permit may I call to schedule my exam?
You may schedule your exam as soon as you receive your scheduling permit.
May I change the date of my appointment?
You may change your appointment at least 31 days in advance for no additional fee.
Appointments that need to be rescheduled with 30 days or less notice will result in
rescheduling fees. Please consult the USMLE website for current rescheduling fees.
What should I do if I move or change my name?
The National Board requires an Address Change or Name Change Authorization Form. Both
forms are available on the NBME website.
Is there a cafeteria available, or should I pack my lunch?
There is no cafeteria in the building. You may use the drink and snack vending machines
located on the lower level. We suggest you bring your lunch, as you will have access
to a refrigerator and microwave.
What materials should I bring with me to my exam?
You must bring your scheduling permit and a signed, unexpired driver's license or
passport.
How early should I arrive for the exam?
You should arrive at 7 a.m.
What should I do with my personal belongings (i.e. backpack, purse, cell phones and
pagers)?
All personal belongings will be locked in a locker. Cell phones and pagers must be
turned off and locked up as well.
Am I able to leave early if I finish the exam before the scheduled time?
Yes, after you receive documentation of completion.
Do I have to pay for parking?
Yes, daily parking can be purchased at https://www.parkutoledo.com/. We suggest parking in Lot 43, which is located in front of our building. (see campus map)
