Due to the current price of gasoline and diesel, most of our animal vendors have begun charging a temporary fuel surcharge on each order.

These additional charges are subject to review on a regular basis and may change without notice.

Animal Vendors

• Jackson Laboratory
  No fuel surcharge at this time.
  Per Jackson Lab: A fuel surcharge is being considered for the annual increases in January.
  
  
• Charles River Laboratory
  8% fuel surcharge calculated on the freight.
  Example: Freight Charge = $300.00 | Fuel Surcharge = $24.00
  Per Charles River: Charles River will monitor fuel trends closely. Should market conditions stabilize, they will evaluate the need for the fuel surcharge and may adjust it or remove it as appropriate.
  
  
• Inotiv (Envigo)
  $35 fuel surcharge
  Per Inotiv: The charge is evaluated monthly for adjustment or continuation.
  
  
• Taconic
  $30 fuel surcharge
  Per Taconic: The charge is evaluated quarterly for adjustment or continuation.

As DLAR is notified of any adjustments to the above surcharges, we will be sure to keep you informed.
