PreK-12 School Partnerships – The JHCOE has established over 40 partnerships with PreK-12 school districts in the local area. Partner schools are located within a 30-mile radius from The University of Toledo's main campus in Fulton, Lucas, Ottawa, and Wood Counties in Ohio, and Lenawee and Monroe Counties in Michigan. These important relationships are vital to the field experiences where JHCOE candidates engage with PreK-12 students, teachers, and administrators, and learn to become effective teachers in the classroom. The Field Office continues to build partnerships with area schools to offer candidates the best field experiences possible.

Faculty Partnerships – Faculty of the JHCOE actively engage in the community which provides mutual benefit to the College and PreK-12 schools. These partnerships foster learning and have great impact on both candidates in the JHCOE as well as PreK-12 students. The JHCOE is committed to its vision of shaping the future for an ever-changing world and enthusiastically seeks opportunities to work with the community to improve education.

Field Placement Selection - The JHCOE partners with PreK-12 school administrators to provide field placements in which candidates demonstrate knowledge and pedagogical skills in classroom settings with experienced teachers. The Field Experience Coordinator follows a strategic selection process to ensure the best match for each candidate.
