Performance Indicators for IECSE Delivery

Evaluating the Itinerant Early Childhood Special Educator is a problem that causes inconsistent and unsuccessful results of the Itinerant model. Provided below are example evaluation sheets that are used for consultants and consultee’s before initiating an intervention with a child, during and intervention with a child, and after an intervention with a child.

The first step in this process is the completion of the Intervention Plan form. This form should be completed by the ECE partner and the Itinerant, or consultant before the intervention begins. This assists in providing clear goals and strategies used to obtain those goals. To see an example of this form.
