 A Steppingstones of Technology Innovation for Students with Disabilities Grant Supported by the Office of Special Education Programs Under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act

The two major purposes of the Project are to:

1. Evaluate the computer-based comprehensive reading programs for effective instructional design components and adaptability with various students with disabilities.

2. Evaluate the comparative efforts of a comprehensive Direct Instruction computer based program with another popular local reading programs on  the acquisition of beginning reading skills of K-2 grade children with reading difficulties when implemented by parents and teachers. The evaluative studies are conducted  simultaneously with both parents and teachers/paraprofessionals working with  K-2 grade children with reading difficulties in Ohio and Northern Utah.
