Margie Traband, director of strategic initiatives, has managed major university-wide projects such as the successful submissions of UT’s application for the Carnegie Foundation’s Community Engagement Classification and the American Public Land Grant Universities’ (APLU) Innovation and Economic Prosperity Designation. She serves currently on the executive committee of the APLU’s Commission on Innovation, Competitiveness and Economic Prosperity. Traband has held various roles at the University in local government relations, business incubation and as a project manager on a National Science Foundation grant that created transfer assurance guidelines in renewable energy. She has a bachelor's degree from Bowling Green State University and a master of business administration from UT. Traband is dedicated to northwest Ohio and serves on various committees and boards that advance the prosperity and reputation of the region.
