Chemical Engineering

Graduation Requirements

A Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering requires 128 semester hours. Additionally, students must:

  1. Have an overall average GPA of 2.0 as well as an average GPA of 2.0 in their major courses.

  2. Degree checkouts are completed one year of a student's anticipated graduation date. Students meet individually with Chanda Raine about outstanding requirements prior to applying for graduation. 

  3. Complete an "Application for Graduation" found in the myUT student portal. Presently, due dates are in the semester before graduation. Students that do not graduate in the semester as planned must reapply for graduation.

  4. Fill out the senior exit survey as part of Senior Design course. Option to meet with the undergraduate director and/or department chair.
