2nd Annual THInC Forum: Education in the Era of AI

Proposal submission deadline is May 1, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Submitters will be notified about the acceptance of their proposal presentations around June 30, 2026.

Proposal Details 

  • Session and workshop presenters should be involved in the use of Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) in PreK-20 education as educators (preservice teachers included), administrators, curriculum specialists, educational technology staff, or research on the use of AI in education.

Session Proposals

  • Session presentations will be 50 minutes long and be classified as Practical, Research, or Ethics.
  • All practical sessions should be interactive and involve audience participation (no passive lectures). Research and Ethics track sessions are encouraged to include interactive elements but may also be lecture style presentations.
  • Each presenter will receive half-off admission to the Forum, which includes a light breakfast and lunch.
  • Maximum of 2 presenters per session.

Workshop Proposals

  • Workshops will be 3 hours long (3 fifty-minute sessions with breaks)
  • Workshops must be highly interactive, authentic, with a focus on theories and skillsets that will help participants navigate the use of AI in education.
  • Workshop proposals that consist solely of technical training in the use of specific applications and systems will NOT be considered.
  • Workshop plans need to be detailed and utilize active learning throughout the entirety of the three 50-minute workshop sessions.
  • Each workshop presenter will receive free admission to the Forum, which includes a light breakfast and lunch.
  • Maximum of 2 presenters per session.

Requirements for Registration

  • Session/Workshop Title
  • Session category: Practical, Research, or Ethics Track
  • Session/Workshop description (500 words): Please include a summary of your presentation, how the audience will participate, and how your session will offer practical applications and ideas that attendees can implement in their instructional practices or related areas.
  • Provide a brief (50 words or fewer) summary description of your session. Include your theme, what participants will do, and three key takeaways from your session. If accepted, this will be the summary listed in the program.
  • Workshop proposals will require an outline of the activities of each 50-minute session, prerequisites for participants, and a list of takeaways for the workshop participants.
  • Please list your (and your co-presenter's) employer and job title. If accepted, this information will be listed in the program.
