What is academic advising?
The Department of Communication and Media supports you throughout your academic career, helping you obtain as many benefits as possible from your education. Academic advisors are vital links to successful degree completion, providing you with the services and resources necessary to help you achieve your goals. The Department of Communication has a full-time academic advisor dedicated to supporting our majors.
Students are responsible for meeting all degree requirements. They should consult with the Department Advisor to ensure progress toward their degree. Additional information about degree requirements can be found in the college catalog.

Schedule an in-person, virtual, or phone academic advising appointment online using your Starfish profile or email lisa.bollman@utoledo.edu from your Rockets email to request an appointment. Please include your name, Rocket number and reason for the appointment.
Our office is located in Rocket Hall, Room 1400, and is open Monday–Friday from 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m.
