College of Law

Transfer Students

Toledo Law may admit you as a transfer student if you have been enrolled in another American Bar Association (ABA) approved law school where you completed a minimum of 15 credit hours and remain in good standing.

Transfer Credits

As a transfer student, you may receive advanced standing credit for work in which you earned at least a C grade or its equivalent at another law school. In determining whether to award advanced standing credit, the character of the courses previously studied, the comparability of those courses and credits to the curriculum and requirements of the College of Law, and the grades received in those courses will be considered while preserving the plan of instruction and standards of the college. Review "Article II: Section C" of our academic rules for more information.

Transfer students must have a miniumin of 15 credit hours from an approved law school and must earn a minimum of 45 credit hours from Toledo Law. Review "Article IV: Section G" of our academic rules for more information.
