Assistant Dean for Admissions

Thank you for your interest in Toledo Law. I joined the College of Law staff in 2006, after working at a private law school in Michigan. As the public service coordinator for the college, I managed the Public Service Commendation program.

I've served on the National Association of Law Placement's Public Service Committee and was a contributing author to the Law School Guide to Public Interest Careers (Oct. 2007, National Association for Law Placement, Inc.) and co-author of Tips and Pointers on Drafting a Resume for Legal Services Position (Jan. 2010, NALP Bulletin, Vol. 22, No. 1).

From 2010-13, I served as assistant dean for admissions at the College of Law and returned in 2015 to continue serving in the role.  I received my B.S. magna cum laude in public law and government from Eastern Michigan University in 2002 and my J.D. magna cum laude from The University of Toledo College of Law in 2005. In addition to my work with the College of Law, I'm a licensed attorney and active in several community organizations, including the Wood County Juvenile Court as a guardian ad litem representing the best interests of abused, neglected, and dependent children. I am also a member of the Otsego Local Schools Board of Education, and in my free time, enjoy playing tennis, reading, and working outside in our large garden.

After working in business management and solo practice, I returned to The University of Toledo College of Law in early spring 2016 and currently serve as the director of law admissions. I also serve as an inclusion officer at the college. I enjoy building and maintaining relationships with students while promoting my passion for diversity, inclusion, and student wellness.

I am a licensed attorney in both Michigan and Ohio and practice in the areas of probate and estate planning. I am active in several bar associations, including the Toledo Bar Association, Toledo Women’s Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.

I received my B.A. magna cum laude in psychology from Lourdes University in 1998, followed by my J.D. from Toledo Law in 2012.

I joined the admissions team at the College of Law in May 2019. As the assistant director of law admissions communication, I am responsible for admissions-specific communications and marketing. Additionally, I am a part of the application review process and am involved with new student recruitment.

I started my career in enrollment management as an admission counselor at The University of Toledo Office of Undergraduate Admission. While working in undergraduate admissions, I worked with high school students from the greater Columbus, Ohio region throughout their transition to The University of Toledo. I also have professional experience working for the marketing department at Viacom-CBS Networks. As a two-time UToledo graduate, I am a proud advocate of The University of Toledo. I received my B.B.A. in marketing in 2015 and my M.E. in higher education administration in 2019.
