Elective Description/Requirements: This elective focuses on lifestyle medicine and longevity principles, based on your “Live Well: 8 Steps to Health and Happiness” program. The rotation integrates evidence-based approaches to address the eight drivers of health and happiness: nutrition, physical activity, stress management, sleep hygiene, social connections, purpose, mindfulness, and environmental factors. Students will gain practical skills in patient-centered care, prevention, and self-transformation.
Length of Clerkship: 4 weeks

- Develop personalized wellness plans for patients using motivational interviewing and shared decision-making. (EPOs: SBP-3)

- Explain the concierge medicine model as a platform for delivering personalized preventative care. (EPOs: SBP-1)

Instructional Methods:
- Didactic sessions

- Observation of clinical encounters between clinicians and patients/families
