Elective Description/Requirements:
Students will spend most of their time in the pathology department of St. Rita’s Medical Center and/or Lima Pathology Associates Lab. They will observe and assist with autopsies, the gross examination of surgical specimens, and the microscopic examination of a wide range of anatomical pathology specimens. They will be exposed to the major sections within the clinical laboratory with special emphasis on cytology, hematology, microbiology, chemistry and point of care testing.

Length of Clerkship: 2 Weeks
