 Ready to experience what it is like to be a Rocket Nursing Student? Come join us for our Rocket Nursing Camp 2024. 
We are hosting our third annual Rocket Nursing camp on July 30 and 31. This camp is for high school students entering their junior or senior year in fall.

The University of Toledo College of Nursing held its first-ever Rocket Nursing Camp in July 2022. In this camp, campers learn all about what it means to be a nurse while engaging in fun, hands-on activities, and making friends! This camp includes activities in the Nursing Lab as well as the Interprofessional Immersive Simulation Center. It is a 2-day camp experience. Day campers have opportunities to interact with The College of Nursing faculty, nurses in the community, and students in the Pre-licensure programs. 

Camp Activities:

    • Hand Hygiene
    • Sterile Gloving
    • PPE Olympics
    • Empathy Belly
    • V SIM
    • Heart/Lung sounds

Camp Highlights:

    • Hands-On Experience
    • Enagage in nursing activities with current Faculty and students.
    • Explore the Campus and facilities.
    • Learn all about nursing student life.  

Registration

Camp cost is $110 per camper. Registration is first-come, first-serve.  Registrants will receive a separate email communication confirming registration and providing legal forms for completion.

9 a.m. - Think Like a Nurse
10 a.m. - Scavenger Hunt
11 a.m.- Lunch
noon - Search Session
1 p.m. - The Lab Jam 
3:45-4 p.m. - Closing  

Day 2 — Wednesday, July 31

8:30 a.m. - Welcome and Light Breakfast
9 a.m. - Nursing Immersion
noon - Become a Rocket Nurse
12:30-1 p.m. - Closing Session
