Dr. Reinert's areas of research interest stem from a passion to provide optimal pharmaceutical care to critically ill patients. Specifically, he is interested in the clinical management of substance abuse and multi-modal analgesic strategies.

Scope of Practice
Dr. Reinert was most recently the critical care pharmacy specialist in the neurocritical care unit at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, OH, where he participated on an interdisciplinary rounding service to provide pharmaceutical care to this patient population. Prior to this, Dr. Reinert was appointed as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Fisch College of Pharmacy at The University of Texas at Tyler, where he was responsible for teaching pharmacotherapy courses in critical care and clinical toxicology, in addition to leading a student-based research program.
