- Topical drug delivery - designing, optimizing, and testing cosmetic and/or pharmaceutical topical formulations, including creams, lotions, gels and ointments, using in silico modeling
- Sunscreens - SPF and broad-spectrum protection boosting technologies
- Novel methods for testing the sensory attributes of cosmetic emulsions
- Sensory testing of cosmetic products
- Studying emulsion stabilization mechanisms and emulsification techniques
- Oral delivery: formulating and evaluating tablets with immediate release (such as ODTs), and/or sustained release
