Direct Admission
Direct Admission Policy Statement
The University of Toledo offers an early admission program called Direct Admission.
Direct Admission is competitive and is awarded to academically exceptional students
during the senior year of high school. Direct Admission secures a seat in the professional division, without additional application,
for students who meet the qualifications. The College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences has Direct Admission to the Professional
Division on a competitive basis. To be considered for Direct Admission, the following
must be completed in the year preceding fall admission:
- Eligibility to Apply: Possess a minimum 3.5 high school GPA
- Submit a complete admission application to the University of Toledo, including an official high school transcript.
-
You should submit your application for undergraduate admission to The University of Toledo by June 15th.
If you meet the eligibility requirements, the Office of Undergraduate Admissions will
send you a letter with a link to the Direct Admission application website. The Direct
Admissions application process includes submission of an additional application with
essay, and a virtual interview.
Once admitted into the program, students must achieve a cumulative and science GPA
of 3.0 or above as calculated by The University of Toledo prior to fall admission to the
professional division. Students who successfully complete all required courses by
the end of the fall semester of year two and meet the 3.0 GPA requirement will have an automatic seat in Pharm.D. program. Direct Admission
students are not required to make the PharmD professional division seat deposit prior
to matriculation.
