Semitransparent solar cells are of interest for tandem devices, incorporation into building integrated photovoltaics, and bifacial solar cells. Bifacial solar cells, in which albedo light enters the back of the device, are of particular interest because they have demonstrated an increase efficiency beyond the standard device. The key to all of these devices is a high performance, transparent back contact. Click through the slide show to learn more about our projects.
