Our growth agenda is not growth for its own sake. It is mission-driven growth: more students served and ready to contribute, more knowledge created and more innovation expanding our economy, more patients treated, and more value delivered to our region. What 2031 Looks Like
By the end of this plan, the University of Toledo will be:
- Larger and more balanced. Steady growth to 16,000 students, with a stronger mix of undergraduate, graduate and professional learners.
- Defined by experience. Every undergraduate will graduate having completed at least one experiential learning opportunity.
- A stronger R1. $100 million in annual research expenditures, with more interdisciplinary, industry and national security research across our northwest Ohio locations.
- The region's health system of choice. UToledo Health will serve more patients at more sites, and help improve health outcomes across northwest Ohio.
- Aligned for impact. Our campus experience, brand, athletics, philanthropy and operations will all work together to support students, discovery, care and community pride.
