- Find an internship/co-op related to your program on Handshake
- Update/create a full Handshake profile if needed
- Note: Summer internships post as early as the fall prior to summer. Internships have long
lead times, so start your search early!
- Volunteer and/or get involved on campus
- Job shadow in a variety of settings
CAREER DEVELOPMENT
- Research potential employers
- Attend career fair(s)
- Network face-to-face and through LinkedIn
- Schedule 2-3 informational interviews with professionals
- Schedule mock interviews with Rocket Career Center to improve your skills
- Build your professional attire (visit Rocket Style Career Closet as needed)
- Design a formal e-signature
GRADUATE SCHOOL (if applicable)
- Start research on graduate school programs
- Compile admission requirements and deadlines
- Develop a professional resume and statement of purpose
- Establish beneficial relationships with faculty
- Brainstorm a list of contacts for letters of recommendation
