Project Support

Have a great project idea that could enhance sustainability at the University of Toledo? Whether it's through the Student Green Fund, a Senior Design project, or any other initiative, we want to hear from you! The Office of Sustainability is committed to helping students turn their innovative ideas into impactful projects that benefit the entire campus community.

If you have a vision for a project that can make a difference—be it related to renewable energy, waste reduction, sustainable transportation, or environmental education—our team is here to provide the guidance, resources, and support you need to bring your idea to life. From initial planning stages through implementation and evaluation, we can help you navigate the process, connect you with funding opportunities, and provide mentorship from experienced staff and faculty.

How to Get Started?

  1. Submit Your Idea: Share your project proposal with the Office of Sustainability by filling out our online submission form or visiting us in person. We’re looking for projects that align with the University’s sustainability goals and can make a meaningful impact on campus.
  2. Receive Guidance: Once submitted, our team will review your proposal and reach out to discuss how we can assist you in refining and executing your idea. We’ll provide feedback, suggest potential collaborators, and help you identify available resources, including possible funding from the Student Green Fund.
  3. Secure Funding: The Student Green Fund offers financial support for student-proposed and executed projects that promote sustainability, energy efficiency, waste reduction, and educational initiatives. We’ll help you navigate the application process to secure the funds needed to bring your project to life.
  4. Work with Mentors: You don’t have to go it alone. We’ll connect you with faculty mentors and sustainability professionals who can offer expertise and guidance throughout your project, from concept development to final implementation.
  5. Make a Lasting Impact: By partnering with the Office of Sustainability, you’ll have the opportunity to see your project make a real difference on campus. Whether you’re installing new renewable energy systems, launching a campus-wide recycling initiative, or developing educational programs to raise awareness about sustainability, your work will contribute to creating a greener, more sustainable University of Toledo.
