Greg MacDonald joined The University of Toledo in December 2023 to lead enrollment management and implement strategic planning recommendations for the University’s key recruitment functions. Harnessing his more than 30 years of experience in higher education, Greg helps colleges and universities increase brand awareness, market development, and applicant pools and uses enrollment predictive modeling to drive enrollment and meet tuition revenue goals.

Greg previously served Lafayette College in Pennsylvania as vice president of enrollment management. Greg has also held the roles of director of admissions in the College of Arts and Sciences (now the College of Arts, Sciences, and Engineering) at the University of Rochester and executive director of admissions at the University of Rochester’s Simon Business School. Greg began his professional career at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

Greg earned his Master of Science in higher education at Syracuse University and his Bachelor of Arts at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada.

Greg is a member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling and the affiliated associations of Pennsylvania, New York, and Ohio. He is a member of the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators, College Board and The Common Application. He is a founding member of the Small College Consortium. Greg is a frequent speaker at professional associations and other industry events.
