Toledo Women Lawyers History Project Celebration

Friday, April 12, 2024toledo women lawyers history - original project display
5 - 6:30 p.m.

Law Center, University of Toledo Main Campus

Please join us to celebrate the impressive tradition of successful women lawyers from Toledo and northwest Ohio and their contribution to the Ohio legal community. We will unveil the new location and design of the Toledo Women Lawyers History Project in a re-dedication celebrating those honored through the project. Portraits of the honorees were done by artist Paula Mowry88, a Toledo Law graduate and former legal writing adjunct professor.

The Toledo Women Lawyers History Project celebrates the rich history of Toledo-area women in law who have paved the way for the women lawyers who have followed in their footsteps. This project was developed through a collaboration between The University of Toledo College of Law and the Toledo Women’s Bar Association to discover and preserve the stories of women lawyers in the Toledo area. A digital collection of oral histories and scrapbooks has been developed in collaboration with Toledo Lucas County Public Libraries.
