American Red Cross Certification Classes

The University of Toledo Office of Recreational Service is an authorized provider of American Red Cross certification programs. All classes are held at the UT Student Recreation Center located on East Rocket Drive off Douglas Road (between Dorr and University Hills Blvd.). We are happy to accommodate participants of all abilities.

To register for a class, you can stop by the Guest Services desk at the Student Recreation Center to fill our a registration packet and pay, or you can download, print and, complete the Registration Packet and drop off, mail in, or fax in the completed Registration Packet to the Office of Recreational Services.  We accept Cash, Check or Visa or Mastercard as methods of payment.  Registration Forms and payment must be submitted five business days prior to the start of a class or the individual may be denied participation in the class.  Classes may be subject to cancellation.  If courses are full the Office of Recreational Services will deny access and participant will have to register for a different course.

Cancellation information

If a class is cancelled or rescheduled by the Office of Recreation, registrants will receive a voucher good toward the same class held at a future date within the academic year or receive a full refund. Refunds are mailed in the form of a UT check and processing takes 3-4 weeks.

Dropping a class
If a registrant drops a class with at least five business days’ notice, s/he will receive a voucher or a refund minus a $15 processing fee. If a registrant drops a class with less than a five business days’ notice, no credit or refund will be issued. To drop or reschedule a class, participants should contact The Office of Recreation by calling 419-530-3719 or by emailing 

Failing a Class
Participants who fail a certification class will not receive a credit or a refund.
