Undergraduate International Admission

Transcript Requirements

As you apply to UToledo, please note there are two types of transcript requirements. There are general requirements for all international students regardless of country, as well as transcript requirements specific to your country. Not every country has a separate transcript requirement. To find out if your country has specific transcript requirements, visit our requirements by country webpage.

General Requirements

These requirements are for all students, regardless of country.

Provide Complete Academic Record

  • List all secondary schools and high schools on your application.
  • List all colleges or universities you have attended after high school or are now attending, even if you do not wish to transfer credits to UToledo.
  • Provide front and back copies of all transcripts.

First-year Students

Submit official transcripts or certificates from all secondary schools and high schools attended. We will need the following:

  • Official high school transcripts for each year of secondary school (typically last 3-4 years) with end-of-year grades and in-progress classes
  • Certificates of official examination results (typically for grades 9 and 11, or 10 and 12, depending on your country or school system)
  • International Baccalaureate and A Level results if enrolled or completed

Note: Even if you took college-level courses in high school, you're considered a first-year student.

Transfer Students

Students who have previously enrolled at another university or college are required to apply to UToledo as transfer students. Submit official transcripts from all post-secondary colleges or universities attended, including transcripts where you were a guest student.

Coursework from other colleges and universities may be transferable. A transfer credit evaluation will be performed once you are admitted to UToledo. You should provide syllabus of all coursework for transfer credit evaluation promptly after you receive admission decision.

Students transferring from a college or university in the U.S. can estimate transfer credit for their coursework using Transferology.

Requirements by Country

Many countries have additional transcript requirements. Review our requirements by country webpage to find your specific requirements.
