How to Apply
1. Review Admission Requirements.
Most UToledo degree programs require high school or university transcripts and proof of English language proficiency for admission.
Some programs have additional requirements. For example, the College of Engineering also requires either an SAT Math score or ALEKS placement test score for admission.
Review the Admissions Requirements page for program specific requirements.
2. Submit Your Application.
You have two ways to apply to UToledo.
- Common App: We accept Common App only from applicants who are still completing the last year of high school or secondary school education.
- UToledo application: All applicants can use UToledo application. Only use the UToledo application if you took a gap semester/year after high school graduation or if you are transferring from another college or university. Please make sure to select "International Application" from the list of options.
3. Submit Transcripts.
Carefully read through the Transcript Requirements and check if your country has additional requirements.
You must list every school you have attended on your application. This includes all secondary schools, high schools, colleges and universities. If you studied at a college or university after high school, you still need to list those schools even if you do not want transfer credit.
Important: Transcripts from U.S. or Canadian schools should be sent to us directly from your high school or college/university to international@utoledo.edu or through one of the following services: Parchment, National Clearinghouse or Digitary.
Transcripts can also be mailed directly by your school to:
