campus safety officers chatting with some students

UToledo takes your safety very seriously. We have implemented a variety of initiatives to keep you safe on campus.

Campus Police and Office of Public Safety

University Police patrol UToledo's campuses and buildings 24/7. They also issue community awareness bulletins and publish a full safety report that is available online.

UT Alert

UT Alert is a free emergency notification system that emails or texts you in emergencies and notifies you about inclement weather, power outages, etc. If put phone number in myUT opt in?

Rave Guardian App

Download the free Rave Guardian Mobile Safety app for iPhones and Android devices. It offers direct connection to 911 and more.

All doors to residence halls are locked. Only students living in a hall have card-swipe access to the building. All visitors have to register at the information desk near the front door. Learn more about residence hall safety.

Night Watch

Don’t walk to walk alone on Main Campus at night? Call Night Watch. A two-person escort team will walk with you. The team is in constant radio contact with police dispatch and is available from 6 p.m. to midnight.

Title IX Office

Our goal is to provide the best learning environment possible. You can help UToledo maintain this standard by reporting student conduct violations, sexual misconduct, general concerns, or other potential threats to our Title IX office.
