• BASIC DEFIBRILLATOR COMPETENCY •
Located on the Virtual Code Cart is an interactive near exact replica of a LifePak20
defibrillator. During the code scenarios, specific cardiac rhythms will be displayed
along with directives. Many of these directives will prompt interaction with the
defibrillator including turning it on and setting the proper joules needed. By implementing
these interactive feature into the VCC learning modes, learner experience and confidence
in setting and administration of defibrillation is expected to increase.
• CUSTOMIZABLE OPTIONS •
Built to allow for flexibility in the ever changing word of healthcare, the VCC is
designed to allow customization. Custom lists of items and code scenarios may be
uploaded. Currently we are only able to provide a standard University of Toledo code
cart. Plans to expand the other institutional code carts are in progress.
