Early Childhood Generalist Endorsement (grades 4-5)

The Ohio Department of Education has created an Early Childhood Generalist Endorsement to enable Early Childhood (Pre-kindergarten through Grade 3) license holders to meet additional requirements that would broaden the scope of their license so they also could teach fourth and fifth grades. The endorsement may only be added to an Early Childhood License (PK-3). The Early Childhood Generalist Endorsement courses can be applied toward the Master’s of Education degree, when taken at the 5000-level.

Fifty hours of fieldwork is required for the endorsement.
