Dumpster Days
Clean and Purge During UToledo Dumpster Days - May 4-11
Bring your clutter to dumpsters on Main Campus on the designated day for your building
group. Any items you are requesting assistance in getting to the dumpsters will require
a work order submitted in advance so we can plan.
UToledo faculty and staff on Main Campus are encouraged to clean and purge their offices, storage areas and labs with UToledo Dumpster Days, scheduled Monday, May 4, through Monday, May 11.
Clutter impacts office and storage safety
Fire risk — posed by clutter and untidy spaces from paper, wood and other combustibles.
Structural integrity — improperly piled items can put immense pressure on walls and floors.
Trips and falls — tripping hazards include loose wires and incorrect placement of items.
Health issue — cluttered materials can provide a nurturing environment for dust, pest, mildew and mold.
Items Not Accepted
Paper, books, journals and other paper products — request a recycling container by submitting a Work Order.
Laptops and computers — submit an IT Help Desk Ticket.
Small electronics and small metal items — submit a Work Order.
Biohazard, infectious, chemical waste, used oil, pharmaceuticals, bulbs, ballasts, rechargeable batteries or fridges — contact Environmental Health andRadiation Safety at 419.530.3600.
